“Wisdom” is a principal thing:
I have come across people who brag about their wisdom.
To them, wisdom is when you are too smart not to allow people to cheat you. And if anyone dares to cheat you, pay him back in his own coins.
But what does the Scripture tell us about wisdom?
It says in Matthew, “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16 KJV
The enemy we have here on earth is the devil. He is the one we ought to outsmart. And for us to do so, we must be as wise as he is.
The devil is outsmarting you when you devote more time to satisfying the desires of the flesh and pay less attention to your soul. Ecclesiastes 3:36
The bible says that the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere ( James 3:17).
Therefore, if the wisdom you have is not pure, does not love peace, does not consider people, is not submissive to God and lacks mercy and good fruit, better have a rethink and do what James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you”.
Beloved, secure the safety of your soul from hell. That is true wisdom.
